We have some good news for SALESFORCE.COM customers. We have achieved Single-sign-on into Glassbeam from within SF.com – thereby enabling easy access to our leading IOT platform through a simple URL. A user logged into SF.com can automatically access Glassbeam without logging their credentials again. This functionality also allows for mapping of roles between the 2 products.
Here’s a typical use case: A support engineer or even an end-user for a technology product manufacturer needs to log in a new issue. They do this in SF.COM and also attach a log file that contains pertinent data about the device configuration, performance, events etc. When this log file is automatically ingested and parsed by Glassbeam, we create a URL within SFDC that directly links to a Dashboard for that issue. So, you can view high level customer data and in one fell swoop, drill down to the granular details of the issue they are facing. If needed, we can even provide our reports, trend analysis, health check reports and virtually any other product intelligence inside SF.com. Thereby, providing a holistic, 360 degree view of customer activity inside one wonderful, actionable interface – something that could facilitate informed decisions on renewals, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
This functionality was built at the request of a large customer in the converged infrastructure market and is now available to all Glassbeam customers. We’re looking at enhancements in upcoming releases – for now, it’s Kudos to our engineering team!
