    Engineering Program Manager

    Who We are

    Glassbeam is a “big data” analytics company focused on providing business value by mining machine data such as log files. Glassbeam’s platform is an automated highly visual solution to help equipment manufacturers and end users unlock the business and operational value of machine data. Glassbeam has a core technology (SPL™) to parse these log bundles and build a scalable data warehouse and a set of pre-packaged applications for deep analytics. Glassbeam is today being used by some of the biggest Big Data companies like EMC and IBM. The company is funded by accomplished entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley and the management team comes from highly successful companies like NetApp, Siebel, Disney & TCS.

    The Role

    Glassbeam uses Agile development process. We are looking for a Program Manager who can also act as a Scrum Master. This person is an integral part of Glassbeam's agile teams and should be able to facilitate, coach, teach, protect and administer.

    • Ensure timely delivery of milestones
    • Produce and maintain detailed project plans
    • Facilitate resolution of cross department priorities
    • Run the daily scrums for different teams to track status of milestones and deliverables
    • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to stake holders
    • Help Engineering management with various tracking reports
    • Document and facilitate resolution for issues being faced by the development teams
    • Remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove impediments
    • Help product owner with respect to grooming and maintaining product backlog
    • Help write suitable user stories keeping agile principles in mind
    • Manage internal ticketing systems to make sure they are consistent and up-to-date
    • Understand and maintain project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties
    • Be an evangelist for agile processes and guide the team on Agile best practices

    Our Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who

    • Has understanding of the analytics space, ETL process and SaaS based web environments
    • Is committed to self organization and Agile process
    • Has strong working experience with Agile tools
    • Has experience as a scrum master in a product oriented company
    • Has strong interpersonal skills to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of people at all levels
    • Has knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
    • Has strong written and oral communication skills
    • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Has 5 - 7 years of experience managing projects in a fast paced engineering organization
    • Has a College degree from a reputable institution. Formal instructions in Scrum management and Project/Program management are strongly desirable
